Cora’s Journey {Bend, Oregon Newborn Photographer}

From the moment of the reveal all the way until her arrival, this is Cora’s story. It has been such a joy capturing my little niece every step of the way. I hope you enjoy it too!

The reveal.
Britt and James went to their 20 week appointment and took the sealed envelope to Ida’s Cupcakes {LOVE} to create a cake with the appropriate colored filling. All of the family met for dinner, anxious to hear the news. We had all placed our bets and the moment was coming to see who was right. I had guessed girl from the beginning but I wasn’t focused on wheather I was right or wrong, I was focused on NOT CRYING as I was snapping photos and not shaking the camera either!! LOL. What a precious moment…it is a GIRL!!

The Baby Shower.
It was time for the planning to begin! We now knew a precious baby girl would be joining our family in the New Year. Britt set out planning for nursery colors {Coral (hint, hint), Yellow, and Grey} and the baby shower date was set. So many family and friends came to spoil Britt and James and their anticipated arrival.

Baby Bump.
Britt, James and fur-sister Daisy and I set out to capture the baby bump. These were taken in November and we were hoping for snow because Britt is such a winter girl. I’m secretly happy it didn’t snow because I absolutly LOVE these photos just the way they are. Beautiful. Daisy did such a great job modeling her new scarf and I had so much fun capturing this moment for my family. A huge thank you to the dog whisperer {my mother} who was great behind the scenes!

January 6th, 2014. Her big debut.
The day had come for us to welcome this baby girl into the family. It was a georgous winter day and we couldn’t wait. Britt had a scheduled C-section so it was rather nice for the family to show up and wait. Coffee and magazines in hand, the family hung out in the waiting room. A few hours after the operation we were able to see Britt and James and… CORA MONROE!! She had to spend a few days in the NICU {baby champion} so we couldn’t hold her yet, but I could snap photos!! Her cousing Loke couldn’t wait to see the “ball” that was inside auntie Bit-Bit for nine months. It was love at first sight.

Newborn goodness.
The date was set for her first modeling gig, and Cora came ready to give her auntie the sweetest faces. She did such a great job and her parents Britt and James are so in love. I can’t figure out who she looks like quiet yet but one thing is for sure…she is a major cutie-patootie and auntie Lis is in love. Welcome sweet Cora, we are so glad you are here.

Kristy toensing - lOVE the pictures!!! Britt and James you have been blessed! Can’t wait to meet little Cora in person.

Alysa, your pictures are amazing! Thanks for sharing them.

Sweet little Nellie {Bend, Oregon Family Photographer}

I really don’t think this little lady could possibly get any cuter! Don’t you agree? I mean come on, I wished I looked as cute as she does in that little bathrobe and curlers! It was such a treat capturing Nellie as a big six month old. I have loved watching her grow from behind the lens. Big sister Marlo was so sweet with little Nellie too. She loves her job as big sister and you can tell how much she loves her little Nellie. Enjoy! <32014-01-21_0001.jpg
